Reggie Fils-Aime, president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America say that Nintendo would offer some surprises for its fans and potential new customers. At the E3 Expo, an annual trade show held in Los Angeles. the industry plans a bigger E3 than in the last two years, when around 5,000 to 10,000 people attended

But he said the company did not have any plans to add phone functionality to its handheld game devices. Nintendo, while not considering a phone function, would consider giving its handheld gadgets always-on wireless connectivity

Recently new kinds of wirelessly connected devices have blurred the distinctions between phones, portable computers, game devices and e-readers like the Kindle. The growth of cellular and Wi-Fi networks, coupled with the relative ease of outfitting devices with radios and processors that allow for connectivity, has allowed device makers to experiment with different wireless functions and business models.

Separately, Mr. Fils-Aime said that the video game industry had started to feel the pinch of the recession. And that one of the reason of next wii2 release
